Description

Original artwork for the Black Orchid back-up story in Phantom Stranger Vol. 2 #35 (DC, 1975) by the legend Nestor Redondo. From part 1 of the tale "Operation Frame-Up," written by Golden-Age great Shelly Mayer, this beautiful page features the lovely Black Orchid in full action as she tries to retrieve a mask which will provide the proof of a frame job upon an innocent victim at the hands of Howard Lunge and his Master Computer. Dark noir in comic book format. "For shame, Mr. Lunge! Don't you know...The Black Orchid is Watching You!"

Black Orchid original art is very rare, especially such an exquisite example as this. Nestor Redondo in his prime!
