DescriptionDynamic moody page from the last issue of Sub-Mariner in 1974, which was an unofficial crossover with Aquaman #56, the last issue of that series, published by DC 4 years earlier. Subby next appeared in Giant-Size Defenders #3 and then becomes a co-feature with Dr. Doom in Super Villain Team-Up, which picks up the Atlantis sub-plot.Social/Sharing |

Stellar inking environmental work. The seas embrace Namor and give him a majesty and regal nobility as he ventures into unknown waters after this issue.

Really nice inking by Colletta here! It's too bad Adkins didn't have more regular penciling assignments at Marvel. He drew some great-looking pages. Congrats!

Wonderful, moody page. I completely agree - what a shame there weren't more chances for Adkins to shine like this. And Colletta does a great job.
