World class Kirby! The art shows all the power and imagination of Kirby at his most inspired! With the restrictions lifted on how many titles Marvel could publish, we had an explosion of creativity incoming. The early Cap on his own title had that silver age charm full of what turned Marvel into the industry leader.

It was amazing how Kirby created a different "look and feel" for each title he was working on. This page has the Cap "look and feel" alright! I am still undecideed as to whether I like Shores' inks on Kirby, but they definitely work here! Great find

I always thought Shores imparted a Golden Age feel to Kirby's Cap which was totally right for the character. It's too bad we didn't see more. This is super nice!

Kirby at his best! Those wonderfully crisp inks from Shores really suit Kirby's pencils. That was a fantastic run, and this is a superb action page!
