DescriptionIt is simply amazing what Thomas Yeates did in this Splash for this second Tarzan - Pellucidar story in Dark Horse Presents.It is simply pen and color wash, no garish colors to distract from the nuanced inkwork. Undersea art is very difficult with all the reflective shadows, but Yeates seems to do this with ease! Delicate, light and shadow, notice the reflection above, on the creature and the main subject. Simply Masterful work! Also, a terrific story, the whole issue is a terrific experience! Inspired uses of the duo tone to create this underwater scene. With two extra colors to work with and his amazing line and inks, Yeates' illustration and the diving beauty transports us to a new world.
