Description

Heritage Auctions actually got the artist who draw this publicity drawing correct but totally misidentified its purpose and use. It was not a design for the Farmyard Symphony Good Housekeeping page, as can be seen from the printed page as well as the drawing for the similar drawing which matches exactly the GH image that I own and which has beeen posted on CAF for more than a decade. This drawing was clearly a design for one of the six publicity stills intended for use in newspapers and movie theater lobbies at the time of the cartoon's original release in 1938, This stuff really isn't that hard, especially when someone has access to the printed Good Housekeeping pages!
