i was 10 yo when i purchased my first #tombofdracula marvel comic, and now i finally get to own a tod original art from issue 62, page 30, 4 october 1977�executed by the dynamic duo of #genecolan (pencils) and #tompalmer (inks), with #marvwolfman (story) plus #joerozen (lettering);

colan had a unique photographic-like style of �painting with a pencil�, where he had a successful 60+ year career in the industry; palmer was straight out of art school when he was entrusted to ink luminaries such as #nealadams #johnbuscema #steranko and of course colan; so both colan and palmer combined for over 30 years of creating sequential art; not to mention their accumulation of hardwares won;

colan�s page layout displays iconic emotive renderings of #dracula, supporting character topaz, and vampire hunters #frankdrake (who�s under a spell) with #rachelvanhelsing; the realistic style depicted is beautifully embellished by palmer�s superb mastery of inks and zip-a-tone shading; the 2nd and 3rd one-third splash panels are fueled with cinematic reverse camera angles of the two hunters in emotional states of motion;

Stunning pages from the great Gene Colan and the amazing Tom Palmer. Gene was proably the most talented artist ever on Tomb of Dracula. He had a mastery of human anatomy that was unparalleled in the industry. His work is always spot on as fas as composition, anatomy and narrative storytelling go. Palmer's inks were the perfecr complement to Colan's pencils. He had a superb line that enhanced Colan's work. He knew when and where to add spot blacks to make the scenes pop. Together they created hundreds of artfully penciled, masterfully inked pages. Collectors are delighted when they find pages that feature both artists. Fantastic pick-up, congrats!
