Description

Bernie Wrightson's So Dark the Rose (1995) Cover. The legendary master of the macabre, Bernie Wrightson, painted this 1995 cover to So Dark the Rose, a horror comic book one-shot told in rhyme about a vampire who comes to see a woman nightly. With decades of experience illustrating horror stories, Wrightson was the ideal artist for this assignment. Medium is watercolor on board. The art has an image area of approximately 10.5" X 17".

You cannot go wrong with Wrightson painting a brooding gothic protagonist on a dark and stormy night.
