Description

Original cover painting for Book 3 of "The Heralds of Valdemar" series by Mercedes Lackey, published by Arrow Books, UK 1988. Finely hand-painted in acrylics on illustration board, 19" x 12" and comes custom framed and double matted under glass to 26.5" x 20". I have All three cover paintings for the trilogy , each beautifully custom framed to complement the coloration of the image and yet "present" as a trio of related paintings.

I like that the arrows and the direction they stick into the tree suggests they are making an escape from the castle. Very nice cool colors of white and blue streak across the backdrop!
