Published 1982.
Wildfire recounts his origin.
On this page he tells of changing his name from ERG-1 to Wildfire.
The top panel is a recreation of the splash page from Superboy and the Legion 202 drawn by Dave Cockrum.

Wildfire was always a sentimental favorite of mine due to his origin story "The One-Shot Hero" in which he apparently gave up his life to save the Legionnaires.
I believe he became a fan favorite which led to his revival.

What's not to love about a two thirds splash featuring several Legion members? I always loved Wildfire's look and what a great bonus that his origina is being told here. I also really dig the rounded corners on the panels.
