DescriptionAlways wanted a Sunday. When I look at all the comic art storytellers I love I keep coming back to Caniff. And imo this is a prime example of what he does best. Thick brushwork, shadows, drama and beat for beat storytelling. Very happy to add this to my collection, it is definitely a centerpiece and will be displayed with the reverence it deserves. (eventually I will add a better scan but for now its cell phone photos.Social/Sharing |

Thanks! I am very thrilled to have it. It is a "wall power" piece.

Thanks! Yeah those silent panels really break up the narration nicely and move the strip along fast vs slow with the heavy text to follow. Very happy with this one.

In perston seeing it 18x24 inches you really appreaciate all those brush strokes. Reproductions just don't do these strips justice. There is a reason he inspired so many with his brushwork.

Thanks Chris. Yeah Wall power for sure. These Sundays are huge. It was the most I have spent on a single piece but well worth it. Has everything one would want from Caniff. Well maybe missing the hot babe but that is ok. I got other Caniff art for that.
