Description

Once I received the beautiful pencils for this piece from Heubert Khan Michael, I immediately started pondering if I should get the piece inked. That quickly changed while I was speaking to my friend and fellow collector Yoshimichi Majima. He told me that he had recently commissioned Daniel Govar to paint over the scan of a Batman piece by Kenneth Rocafort. It turned out to be just the inspiration I needed. Daniel and I set this up to be completed for MegaCon Orlando 2022 and it quickly became a fascination for anyone that stopped by his booth as he finished up the smaller details on the piece (well, by everyone but me, he wouldn't let me see it until it was completed!). Daniel said he had a great time working on the piece and it really came through! Beautiful colors and an amazing alternative to standard inks. This is the third throne piece Daniel has painted for me, but being painted over Heubert's pencils, it has a very different and unique feel. Love it!
