Description

I love me some 1960's sequential pages featuring gangster stories from Detective Comics! A buddy of mine would refer to this as a "filler" page, but in this case no costumed heroes and no main characters = no problem for me. Just some good historical storytelling from an era that I love. Plus, you can read these pages with the gangsters plotting and you already know that Batman & Robin will find a way to foil their plan!

Not since the days of Bill Finger has there been any better writing in the pages of Detective Comics than the "finger, Fingers" word balloon.

On a side note, this story titled "Riddle of the Robbin' Robin" by Frank Robbins shows you that Robbins was firing on all creative engines.

Yeah that transistor radio is awesome! Definitely dates the page. I also love that bar in the bottom panel.
