Hmm, never knew that making fun of Aquaman was a thing.  Always liked the character myself.  But like you said, there's no Aquaman on this page, so let's just move on.  I can't really say that I've followed Egeland's career, but I do like this page.  Really love that close-up panel at the bottom.  And even that full figure panel at the top is really good.  I think he has a penchant for facial expressions.  Not quite on the level of a Kevin Maguire, but I do like his faces.

I don't think Egeland did much beyond a few issues here and there in the mid-1990s.  I remember liking what I saw at the time, but I guess he moved onto greener pastures at some point.  As for Aquaman himself, here's but one example of the mistreatment given to the oceans' greatest hero!

This rendering of Dolphin is more subtle than a lot of recent portrayals of the character and recalls her first appearance in Showcase Comics. 

Egeland is an artist I thought would have a longer career in comics.

Those first two years on Aquaman with P.David were great. I loved his more cartoony approach and the dynamism he brought to the pages. I too miss his art (and wonder what he does now).

Yeah, the Peter David years are still my favorite Aquaman comics, in no small part because of the artwork.
