DescriptionI grew up with brothers- there were 5 of us (and 1 sister). Yes, we did fight, often but luckily not over the same girl. I connected with Wonderman and this 'brother' fight rocked my world. Thank you Jay for this dream page come true!!Social/Sharing |

The 70's Avengers splash comes in a sweet spot for many collectors! This picks up after Vision defeated the Black Knight and about to face off against Wonder Man as the cover promised. Sal's artwork brought the Avengers that cutting edge look of the times and bridged to a new era. .

this was my brother's favorite issue of the avengers! he loved the wonderman vs vision battle in this issue!, congratulations on adding a page from this CLASSIC story to your ever expanding awesome collection.,................ and yes, jay rocks!

Those first pages of Avengers 158 remain a classic . Buscema and Marcos make a fantastic duo , I wish they had worked together more

Great add Kirk! I was really intrigued by the stone Black Knight - I was kinda hoping it was the real Black Knight coming back to life - sort of like the zuvembie resurrection of Wonder Man. This great splash also shows the beginning of something between Wanda and Wondy... Very nice!!

Great splash! The haunting eyes of the defeated Black Knight in the foreground instantly convey that something cataclysmic has occurred. Brilliant drama from Sal.
