Description

The cover to my self-published City Limits Comix #2 from 1980 featured a cover penciled by Joe Zabel and inked by William Messner-Loebs in a fantastic display of the technique known as "feathering." The inkwork just shines here. It's one outstanding piece of work. Joe later spent a long stint drawing stories for Harvey Pekar's American Splendor while Bill was known for a great comics series called Journey and many years working as a popular comic book writer for characters like The Flash for DC and The Maxx for Image.
