DescriptionThirteen years of determined collecting & I finally have a Kubert. Joe's an artist, like Toth and Adams, who's always good but I have had trouble finding just the right page. this one has that tremendous big half-face panel (a Kubert trademark), a moody montage panel at the top (also a classic Kubert technique), and some pretty good action images of Sgt Rock, his classic character. Satisfying!Social/Sharing |

That is an exceptional Kubert page. I especially love how Kubert designs the look of the second panel. I don't think that visual would work in any other medium.

It's the human element that makes Kubert's artwork linger in your thoughts. The heavy toll of war on the human condition. These will never go out of style as war still rages around the world. The gaunt figures and worn down sunken eyed faces are just the physical representation of the unrelenting assault on our humanity.
