DescriptionAfter a 4 month absence, I'm back, hoping to catch up on the months I missed. I will be posting published pieces on Sunday and unpublished on Wednesday until I feel I'm caught up. Lets get back into things...hope you enjoy it.From 1988, we have this final page from the Black Panther mini-series. A Marvel page in my collection WTF! Two words...Denys Cowan! I'm a big Denys Cowan fan, big enough to buy a couple of Marvel pieces. With the new Black Panther trailer out and with Bill Cox's interview and sale with Denys yesterday (7/30) I thought it was the right time to post this piece. He is T'Challa, king of the African nation of Wakanda and the superhero known as the Black Panther. Black Panther #4 pg.31 art by Denys Cowan and Sam De La Rosa Social/Sharing |

Amazing! Black Panther's power of inspiration from his throne is more powerful than him out in the field on his own.

The ironic (or is it?) thing about this piece is that it feels like a meeting of the Black Panther party from the 1960's. Great stuff! I love Cowan's work too, always have since his early days in the 1980's on Moon Knight and later Powerman and Iron Fist, and then of course The Question. I look forward to seeing you back posting again, Ceasar!

Oh you KNOW I love this one :) Awesome splash to wrap up the series! BP on the throne with that one line of dialogue, then the silhouetted fists...powerful stuff. And yes, a timely CAF add :) Bill's interview with Denys was great, and I was lucky enough to pick up a page from Flags of our Fathers there. Huge congrats on this - looking forward to your other coming posts!
