DescriptionI am pleased to announce my friends at the Samuel Vanhoegarden Gallery in Belgium are opening Europe’s FIRST Solo Exhibition “Patrick Nagel: The REFLEXion of the ‘80s” 🥳The opening of the exhibition is on Friday the 5th of August until the 18th of September 2022. So if you can get yourselves to Belgium ✈️ Go! Over 100 ORIGINAL works will be on display and ultimately available including approximately 20 canvases. Catalogue on the web www.svhgallery.be While many paintings were originally sold in the 80s as “Untitled” they are known to you. Joan, Kristen, Noble, Shades, The Book, Japanese Rio, Blue Sweater, and Dakota are only a handful at the exhibition! This will be the first exhibition of its kind outside the United States and to be honest this may be the only time in our lifetime where this many works (especially canvas works) will ever be on display. It is the ONLY book since 1985 and its a beauty! I am happy to say I am in good company on the Thank you list. A short list including two members of Duran Duran, Nick Rhodes and John Taylor, and also Dame Joan Collins! I will take it!! Lol. This event took years to accomplish, so I hope some of you will get the chance to go. My name is Monica Moynihan and this is my first art book collaboration...I really loved the experience. I AM NOT PROFITING FROM THIS EXHIBITION ! This is an announcement I feel is simply important. Like Warhol and Haring before him, it was inevitable Nagel's works would end up in Europe. Nagel is finally getting the global recognition as a innovator, designer and illustrator he so deserves. It took 40 years but we are here. Thank you David! I received a beautiful Invitation. I am simply glad to be a part of Nagel's legacy. Although I am sure it is beautiful over there right now!! I could probably swing the ticket, anyone live near the gallery or have a beach house I could borrow. Lol.

That's wonderful! As collectors, we don't often get the recognition for our role in building fandom and keeping alive interest. It is the community's devotion that helps future generations understand and learn to appreciate this part of our shared culture.
