DescriptionI went to Columbus this past weekend and ended up coming home with my first piece from Romitaman. I imagined the first piece I would have purchased from Mike would have been bigger, but regardless, as soon as I saw this I knew I was going to buy.A sincere thanks goes out to Chuck Arnold for nudging me as we looked through the stacks, and asked if I saw those Maxx trading card pieces. I had not, as I was pretty much in disbelief holding and looking intensely at a certain Kirby Fantastic Four cover, as well as many other really impressive pieces. It marked the first time I had actually seen a lot of quality older pieces up close with my own eyes, and was an experience I will not forget. This was concluded by a live Dueling Dealers show that resembled a street fight in a dark alley in one of those 80's beat em' up video games :) This art is from card #28 of the 1996 Wildstorm The Maxx set which featured different artists on almost every card. Some big names too! In regards to the art itself, Scott Clark captured The Maxx in a great action pose here as he deals with a never ending sea of the ISZ! Overall just a wonderful image that I feel really does justice to Sam Kieth's character. I am a fan of anything Maxx related, so very pleased to find. Big thanks goes out to Mike Burkey for the art!! Another great piece of art posted sold by Burkey with a character oeneing their mouth wide! In this instance, the Isz open wide to herald the arrival for the Maxx drawn in that glorious overpowered 90's style!

Fabulous interpretation of a great character! Hard to believe this expansive image is for a trading card.
