Description

When her series was on the racks, she was one of maybe 5 heroines from DC or Marvel with her own book. And she was so different from all of the rest. Closest probably in feel to Dazzler in many ways. This splash is a great representation of that series.

Ric Estrada and Romeo Tanghal really sell this moment of the kid inside of Amethyst throwing a tantrum. Credit to Mishkin and Cohn for trying to make Amethyst a more well rounded character than they had to.

This princess warrior is done terrifically! They must have seen how popular a character like Starfire was and wanted something that appealed to both girls and boys. However, I probably would have gotten a schoolyard beat down if I showed this comic instead of X-Men.
