Description"Jurassic Park" (1993). Mike Hobson concepts for the Steven Spielberg movie. Hobson worked with John Alvin on the campaign and some of the ideas they played around with can be seen in the first of these early stage sketches; things like the dino footprints and the gate were in some of Alvin's great color comps. Same thing with the vegetation-formed t-rex head shape, which Alvin painted in a few of his proposals (using the clouds instead, but some with a very similar shape). This one is reminiscent of some of the work William Stout did on the campaign, but I don’t think they had any connection while working on this so I'm pretty sure that's a mere coincidence.Social/Sharing |

This has a Krenkel feel, to my eye at least. Nice prelims!
