The duo tone work is expert level by Yeats to give the wave surfaces and characters a lot of depth and dimensional shading. The story leaves us with a great cliffhanger to revisit to find out if she'll be lost at sea.

Yeates is on my short list of artists I need in my collection. You certainly have a wonderful example here. Just a beauty of a page which as you said simply has it all!
