Description

This is a second version of the painting, recreated by Gambino in the late 1990s as the result of a commission from a collector. Approx size 14 x 24".

The original panoramic painting was designed to be split into separate book covers for the Isaac Asimov novels "Foundation", "Foundation & Empire", and "Second Foundation". This version matches that layout.

There are modifications to the central space ship design, and some differences in background details.

All three novels were published in 1994 by Collins (Harper Collins). These covers were used continuously by Collins for their mass market editions until 2010.
