Powers cover illustration for the 1963 Ballantine short story collection A Handful of Time by Rosel George Brown.

The cover depicts a beautiful female time traveler stepping out of her "transparent time cube" into the distant past. Rosel was one of very few women publishing SF stories back then. I wonder if Powers made the time traveler female in honor of Rosel?

Hopefully it is the past and her/our future is not in ruins. Very nice timecube design getting all that geometry and perspective exact so the female figure can be shown in relation..
