DescriptionSolicitation synopsis: Rogue archeologist Doctor Aphra is working for Domina Tagge. The job: steal experimental hyperdrive tech from Domina's rival, Beol De'Rruyet. To get it done, Aphra has recruited smuggler Sana Starros. But the ruthless General Vukorah and her Unbroken Clan syndicate are also after the hyperdrive. The trail has led Aphra and Sana to De'Rruyet Center, where Beol plans to demonstrate his prototype. Bad news: it's a dangerous fake. Even worse, Vukorah's arrived and she's taking hostages. On this page Vukorah pressures Aphra to stop stalling and fix the experimental hyperdrive. This is the only physical art from his issues, as these pieces are scanned in and the final art is created digitally. The prelim page size is 8.5x11. Social/Sharing |

Pencils speaks louder than words
And Height’s a man with a great experience
I know you got some other fans
But I can love your Aphra prelims
Take my sand, see how it’s made
Vukorah’s in every page I pay
I'm syndicating love for free
So won't you space war art with me?

See, three comments in and I'm humming along the whole way with the Black Crowes like on the radio (some of us still play them) and then BAM! the link takes it back to the beginning. So good Mr. Redding, yessir'am.

I have to say, I don't have any recollection of the fact that this was a cover song for the Black Crowes, ever being brought up in the media at the time the cover was exploding in popularity. I'm willing to bet that tons of music fans from back then, even many Crowes fans, still think to this day that it was a hit song written by the Crowes. Great cover, for the record.
