Description

I've yet to identify where this was published; it's the left half of a double page spread (the right half is unfortunately missing). My suspicion is that it's from American Weekly, or maybe an issue of Argosy from the 1940's. Finlay has written on it at the bottom "A Pirate City Under the Sea."

Wow! Awesome Virgil Finlay illustration! Love the old fashioned diving suit and the city under the sea. Plus who doesn't love a menacing shark? Great find!
