DescriptionA few days ago I posted the Humberto Ramos cover to What If...? Miles Morales #1 (What If Miles Morales Became Captain America).Here is the super dynamic cover to What If...? Miles Morales #3 (What If Miles Morales Became The Hulk). As is the case with many modern pieces, the pencils were done on one board (by the great Carlo Pagulayan) and then inked on a separate board (by the talented Jason Paz). I was extremely happy to be able to acquire both boards! Miles/Hulk SMASH puny Abomination!! (Or at least trying to!!) I love how their battle is whipping up a maelstrom that is flinging cars and other debris around. Social/Sharing |

The Abomination was always my favourite Hulk villain. Pagulayan is one of my favourite of the modern day Filipino masters of comic art. The combination of these two factors makes this a real winner! Oh, and it's "Abomination SMASH puny Miles Morales!"

Putting them side by side, you can really see where Pagulayan and Paz excel in their craft! Overall, it does a great job to hook in the readership to see Miles in these multiversal variations.

Wow! Now that is one FEROCIOUS Abomination... Holy moley. Careful, Miles! As compelling as the central figures are, I really love the backgrounds of this one; from the explosions to that great tire to the swirling dust clouds and force lines (that keep the viewer's attention focused on everything enclosed in that big "action bubble"), everything is working together to produce a high octane cover image. Whoof!! Great pick up, Paul!

Great what if? Also called What if Billie took Cold F/X? So no sneezing on shift. His cells didn't stabilize. He's still angry and obviously shapeshifted into the Abomination.

Abomination is one of my favorite Hulk villains. And even though he's not fighting the actual Hulk here, still a super fun cover. Love Carlo's work. And this is a great reminder that I need a Pagulayan piece for my collection. Congrats buddy!

Ha, liking thse What If Miles pieces! Definitely the first time seeing him this large, but based on this cover, not quite in charge yet. I imagine he'll get there :) Dynamic stuff, and perfect that you got both the pencils and inks! Congrats!
