DescriptionThis set of 7 consecutive Alex Raymond's Rip Kirby dailies might be now the longest-known continuous set of them. If you know longer please let me know ;-)December 9, 1951, was a Sunday and Rip Kirby daily strip was not appearing then in the newspapers. During the past 50 years (since RussCochran's Graphic Gallery) around 10 times, there has appeared 4-6 consecutive dailies, in sales catalogs/auctions, or collectors presenting them. In the summer of 2021 Nouveau Musée National de Monaco had a lavish exhibition of original comic book artwork, it has been so far the best exhibition in Europe. There was presented two sets of 4 consecutive Rip Kirby dailies very close to each other, only 2 dailies were missing between them. The artwork is from the “The Disappearance of Bijou Benson” story, originally run in newspapers from September 24, 1951 – January 26, 1952. This artwork of 7 consecutive dailies has been searched and acquired from 4 different collections from the US and Germany, and it has offered thrilling detective work to put the artwork together. I uploaded earlier first 4 consecutive Rip Kirby dailies, you can find them from here: https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1790173 I am still keeping them visible there once then there is additional pictures with more details (which I can't upload here, it is limited to 6 photos). Thanks a lot for Thomas helping in this getting artwork together :-) #AlexRaymond; #RipKirby Social/Sharing |

I used to own the last one - which belonged to the artist Stanley Pitt. His son had it all these years until about 2 years ago. Very cool to see these together! Congrats!

That's a great feat and shows how the story is planned out to have something special to look at in every strip.
