DescriptionHomage to X-Men baseball gets me every time! Chaykin Wolverine seals the deal!As I’ve stated in some of my other pieces, I really enjoy seeing the X-Men with one of their favorite pastimes, playing X-Ball (baseball sometimes with powers when things get aggressive). This page features some unique Chaykin Wolverine’s (both his and Keith’s interpretations are standout and clear for who drew him), retelling Logan’s history as he attempts to reconnect his body and soul with Dr Strange’s help. This section tells the history of Wolverine getting his adamantium getting ripped out, and how he lost his loner edge when joining the X-Men and became more of a cute little puppy instead of being a ferocious Wolverine. I like to think in this obscured memory that Jean is at the bat, and we see Nightcrawler and Scott semi detailed in the BG and Kitty and Storm flanking the sides (sadly missing Colossus, but Cyclops seems to be a mix of both, so that works). This storyline by Guggenheim was fun to revisit key moments, costumes, events for Logan and have him reconnect to what’s important to him. Getting a X-Men baseball and Chaykin Wolverine wrapped in one is a huge plus for me and hits a few of my checklist. Love the moments on this page and how Chaykin interpreted Wolverine throughout. Pretty cool that Chaykin can bring back one of the most intense moments in Wolvie's history and still switch us back to one of the most fun moments.

Fabulous Wolverine page! Howard Chaykin draws Wolverine struggling to reconcile his killer side with his human side. Awesome pick-up!
