Description

Sean Phillips pg. 119 splash page from Follow Me Down: A Reckless Book. I am a long-time fan of the Brubaker/Phillips team up especially on the Reckless books. This page features two of the main, recurring characters, Ethan Reckless and Anna, as well as Ethan's love interest in this book, Rachel. A classic cinematic montage.

The pencils were laid out digitally and printed in blue lines and inked by hand on a piece of approximately 11 2/3" x 16 1/2" comic art board.

Indeed, Marcus, your observations are always right on. This montage really evokes the lingering melancholy of past love. Phillips is just masterful in my eyes.
