DescriptionThis is the May. Day 23. Thirty-One days of Star Wars continues...Mandatory Retirement (part 3 of 4) - The Rogues stage a dangerous rescue of Sate Pestage (one-time Emperor proxy turned defector). Now is their chance to undermine Ysanne Isard, who has her own designs on the Imperial throne. But a power struggle in the Empire's highest circles has Isard cornered, and that's when the Imperial Intelligence Chief is most dangerous! Beginning with this opening full page splash, I'll be posting eight pages from this issue over the coming days. Imperial Admiral Delak Krennel holds a New Republic operative's helmet at the scene of Sate Pestage's extraction in his attempt to defect. The Admiral seems displeased. If I were any of those folks behind him, I'd take a couple extra steps closer to the door. There were two art teams credited for this issue - Steve Crespo (pencils) with Chip Wallace (inks) and John Nadeau (pencils) with Jordi Ensign (inks). Hmmm. He also died in this issue. Does that move it up to platinum or down to silver?

Wow you scored 8 pages!!! Very nice. Digging the presentation of this splash as well as the inks. Another Dark Horse series I need to circle back to and the art looks great

I picked up four, then pointed Stacey to Steve's offerings and said "you always ask me for gift ideas, because no one ever knows what to get." So, she spoke with her mom, my dad, and my sister, and the four of them each bought me one for my birthday. I thought maybe they'd grab one or two. Instead it was an epic birthday haul!
