We picked up this Virgil Finlay interior illo nearly 20 years ago, back in 2004. It illustrates Leigh Brackett's "The Road to Sinharat," and appeared in Amazing Stories, May 1963.

The techniques create a dream like fantasy feel to the entire piece and does its job to take us away to an imaginary world of wonders.

Seeing Finlay's finished art is a pleasure to the eye. The textured horizon of clouds and the tower are beautiful. The line work in the wings of the bat-like creatures add to their elegance of flight. Congrats.
