As dream Girl has predicted, Metallo using a Kryponite powered suit, attacks Superboy.

Note in this book and the cartoon series, he is referred to as Superman. There were two reasons that happened on the TV show. One was that at the time, DC was involved in litigation with the the estates of Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster over the ownership of the Superboy name. Additionally, the Superman Returns movie was released in June 2006 and there was a desire to catapult off the publicity for the film.

I like this version of Metallo, it's fun looking. Am I the only one who immediately saw Shaggy disguised as Lightning Lad in the first panel though?
