Description

Really enjoyed Gotham Central and its look "behind the scenes" of Batman's world. The Dark Knight himself is in fact rarely referenced and almost never seen. So, the book becomes a procedural story of a big city police department with all the expected drama from a Rucka-written tale. And Lark is the perfect artist to portray the noir-esque scenes. Main character Crispus Allen featured in most of the panels.

The key to the page and maybe the series lies in the street level views as that sets up that we are very much grounded where the daily activity of the everyday crime fighting happens. The camera angles of the office and how it shows the clutter that builds up represents the level of crime in the city.
