The gangsters really have a gritty Joe Kubert feel to them especially when bunched up like this was a war comic. The Azbat shadow making a reverse Shadow of the Bat is a cool touch to this showdown at the bowling alley! Couldn't they have just rented out some shoes and settled their differences between the gutters?

Interesting that several people seem to have picked up on the Joe Kubert influence on this DPS and also on the following page from this issue that I posted. Cariello got his start in comics while a student at the Joe Kubert school and later in his career spent many years teaching there. Joe's influence is undeniable on countless artists.

With all the creeps on the right side.. you could easily replace Azrael with Dick Tracy and this would still work! Congrats.

Killer face of the DPS, and love that the perspective is slightly tilted, with the baddies on the right being closer the viewer. Adds some nice depth. And just some SWEET illustration throughout. Congrats!
