Description

Boxer and drunkard 'Moonshine' Mullins found misadventure in and around his low-rent boarding house in this Depression/Prohibition themed strip that ran from 1923 to 1991. In this installment, his attempt to sneak out is thwarted by a bathing neighbor. The humor depends on the reality that in that day, city dwellers often used communal bathrooms. Mullins' leaning posture resembles the slouched 'Keep on Truckin' meme popularized by an R. Crumb cartoon in 1968.

Humorous pretzel logic in the first panel! Well set up and a nice payoff to the gag at the end too.
