DescriptionBlondie daily strip (but not Sunday strip) originals from 1932 are very scarce, which does not make a lot of sense considering how dailies from 1930, 1931, and 1933 are plentiful. The drawings of Eustace (the blonde man in this strip and other strips from the same sequence), as well as those of Gil, Blondie's love interest later in the year, have been used as evidence of Raymond's authorship -- both look a lot like the early images of Flash Gordon. But the images of Blondie herself should be sufficient proof that Raymond was drawing the strip during these years.Social/Sharing |
