Here I am driving my (Sherman) tank.

Nick was originally drafted into the 66th Infantry Division, where he redesigned their shoulder patch. Later, Nick was transferred to the Third Armored Division as a tank driver.

Acquired from Nick's estate via ComicConnect.

This is so cool. I loved Nick's stories about driving the tank during the war. Thanks for posting this.

The photo is evidence of a side of Cardy that gives his art so much more meaning in the war stories he worked on.
