Description

Sublime sketch by an artist who many consider - me included - to be the greatest artist to have worked in British comics in the modern era. Mick is a consummate stylist, an artist who was never content with what he made, always seeking for new and more accurate expression.

I had heard that he was shy and not good in interviews, but at Lawless 2023 he was chatty, articulate and witty...and he drew these sketches like a madman all weekend. A privilege to meet him.

Really nice sketch from McMahon who is one of the greats in establishing the look of Dredd early on to the masses. The scrunched up face features and the little marks to define the chin from the jaw are some fine distinctive touches.
