DescriptionDay 16. Thirty-One days of Star Wars (2024 edition) continues!Today is the Attack of the Clones 22nd anniversary, released May 16, 2002. The square root of 16 is 4, so might as well post up four Star Wars: Republic pages to celebrate! Palpatine calls a meeting of his bravest, wisest, and most influential military officers in order to introduce them to his new right-hand man, Darth Vader. This issue takes place approximately two weeks after the events in the film Revenge of the Sith. The new Emperor lays out his plans for his Galactic Empire, and those who have other ideas are dealt a swift lesson by Vader's blade. But Captain Sagoro Autem wants nothing to do with the new government and plans his defection. But what do you do when the Dark Lord of the Sith is determined to stop you? Guest artist Luke Ross took a break from Samurai: Heaven and Earth to shake up an entire galaxy. Or so the Dark Horse ads of the time proclaimed. The issue was digitally colored straight over Ross’ pencils, no inked pages exist. This was a pick-up from Spencer Beck's booth last year at Heroes Con 2023. MTFBWY Social/Sharing |

Dark Horse actually advertised in print that Luke Ross was taking a break from the 4 issue Samurai: Heaven and Earth in order to draw Star Wars? I bought Samurai: Heaven and Earth as a trade, so I never knew the series was put on hold for while when it was coming out monthly. Nice art, as always.

Yep. And I've never read Samurai: Heaven and Earth. Might be time to give it a read.

Can I get a quote for a vapor leak in a Senate-blue Isaru?

In Heaven and Earth was concealed
No one can say that order revealed
A million things
And a Palpaltine in life
Gone, fragile, not free
We remain tender defector
If not so in Sith, it's not so wrong
He's only Autem after all
Oh, these changing years
They add to your rebellion
Oh, you need to hear
The time that Forty Two
Because there's something about Luke, Jeffrey, so right (and now the way Luke art tonight)
I couldn't live without Luke, Jeffrey, the knights (I couldn't live without you)
