Description

One of my favorite childhood comic covers by Gil Kane & John Romita Sr! I loved the floating head layouts of the 1970's, a way of putting more characters on a cover. The swirling ink lines of Whirlwind I wound up free handing without using a french curve to give it a more organic feel and line weight. Original on 11x17 art board.

Nice job Rich! Didn't even notice it was a recreation until I read your description. I remember loving this cover when my brother bought it off the stands back in the day.
