DescriptionCombaticon Brawl, along with human guests from Onyx aboard Sanctuary Station (Garrison Blackrock, Marissa Faireborn, and Ayana Jones) are reacting to the impact of missile fire from the previous page between Cosmos and Soundwave. The highlight for me is the 2nd panel, where Brawl goes tumbling off due to the low gravity of Sanctuary Station and both Decpticon Tapes, Buzzsaw and Laserbeak, have a laugh at the Combaticon's expense. Evoking Statler and Waldorf (and maybe more obviously some Sam Eagle) from The Muppet Show, I can almost hear the laughter of the pair of old men in this panel. Social/Sharing |

A million miles away
A missle in the distance
To whom it may Transform
I think I lost Soundwave
Getting good Brawl tumbling over
Every line Combaticon
Learning to squack again
I believe I've read it for a laugh
Where do I begin?
Learning of Brawl again
Can't you see I've waited for Griffith?
Where do I begin?
Do you remember the page?
We built space battle stations
Then sat and watched them burn
I think I found my place
Can't you feel them laughing stronger

Looking at the note in the last panel, I may need to get a "Space Behind Glass" decal to put inside one of my car windows.

The original Transformers cartoon would have benefited from some Buzzsaw and Laserbeak snide comments.

Sort of. In the Marvel Comics, they had a dude named G.B. Blackrock who was pretty clearly a stand-in for Tony Stark when they started to figure out the ongoing Transformers book wasn't going to continue refernecing Marvel characters or locations. This is the IDW version of that character.
