DescriptionOne of my bucket list items for 2023 was to get a page from Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars featuring Captain America by my favorite Cap artist, Mike Zeck. While that still hasn't happened (yet), I was able to get this unused preliminary page #8 from issue #3. This prelim features Captain America, Hulk, Mr. Fantastic and Spider-Man which was reworked for the published story. On the published page, Zeck used different panels for the first three, but similar versions of the last two panels were used.The pencils are much clearer in person, so I included close ups, as well as the final published page so you can see the differences and similarities. As Zeck is known for his tight preliminaries, I'm happy to own this true piece of unseen history from one of Marvel's most beloved titles.
