DescriptionOK, these are recent acquisitions - two sequential pages from two different auctions, but I got my first page from this book many years ago. I loved Doom 2099 when it came out, along with the other 2099 titles. Even with new costumes and (and new faces), the 2099 series still felt reassuringly 1990s comics ... until this take on Doom. IMHO, these are some of the most interesting renderings of a traditional Marvel character (Doom was still Doom even in 2099). If you didn't tell me the title, I would be hard pressed to say it was Sandman, Poison Elves or something else! That being said, I totally love it. I think if the title had been longer lived, Marvel may not have taken such a chance.Social/Sharing |

The art style is so advanced for what the 90's were doing and really reached beyond its time period.
