DescriptionI've had a big hole in my collection for quite some time - something from Scott Williams. Not something inked by him - which would be the natural assumption given his status as an all-world inker - but an original piece entirely by him. Why?Well, I find Scott's original work to contain an energy and detail that jumps off the page. Combine that with a compositional skill second to none, and I've just felt he was too important of a creator to not have at least one great piece from. So, while I was not able to make it to San Diego this year, when he posted this piece in advance of the Con I immediately reached out to him and let him know of my interest. With the help of a mutual friend, we were able to make the deal happen and transport the art back to me (thanks, Ron!). I'm thrilled to have this amazing cover in my collection and dealing with Scott could not have been more enjoyable. Fair warning for those who have not seen Scott's art in person - it's intoxicating and will make you want more. Like I need a new addiction, right? It is what it is - there are worse things to be addicted to than Mr. Williams' art. Hope you enjoy! Social/Sharing |

Great pickup! Cyclops and Colossus are my favorites here. This would make a killer movie poster.

Like the mix of X characters here, with Logan leading the charge! Dig that bix "X" in the background, and how Nightcrawler's brimstone is rendered. Congrats!

Explodes with power! The design of the cover is what allows for the inks to shine. Great focus in the differences between each character and Williams fills the detail from foreground to background for a full experience!

Having read your description on intoxicating (aka addiction) I feel I must make an intervention and suggest you get treatment for CAA (thats comic art addiction to the uninformed). Part of the treatment is putting items likely to make you sozzle your brain more out of reach. Like putting bottles of booze out of your house if you have drink issues. You can post me over your art collection for safe keeping, while you recover from this debilitating and wallet lightening disease.
