Happy Batman Day! I don't have any huge grails or major Batman published pieces left to post to be honest. I'm kind of slowing down in general on my Batman collecting across the board, in favor of other IP/titles/characters and types of art over the last few years (Star Wars etc.) - but I hadn't posted this one yet, and wanted to share something "new" for Batman Day.

I believe this is the version of Batman from "The Batman" film from Matt Reeves, played by Robert Pattinson. I quite enjoyed that film and saw it in the theater 3 times, and have also purchased the 4K Blu Ray for my physical media collection. It wasn't everyone's cup of tea as a 3 hour, dark/moody, and noir detective focused style film (very physical too but I don't think action was the priority/point of it) but I think for the most part it went over better than expected for most who saw it, and was a box office success for DC even when it was earlier on for when people started going back to the movie theaters after the tail "end"
of the pandemic. So I wanted a piece representing that version/vision of the character in my collection.

I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but credit where it's due, my favourite part about this piece is actually the COLOR! Especially in the background. Really nice textures back there, too, and a shades of orange that are rarely seen in comic book art. Nice get, man!

Outstanding Batman commission from Chris Ring. I love the color palette for this piece, the contrasting orange and black colors really give this Batman piece a look that's all its own. Great pick-up, congrats!

Dude the background, mixed with the orange hues and rain effect, just flat out works! You don't see an organge-ish palette with color Bats pieces often, either, so it's uniquely cool that way as well. Congrats!
