DescriptionAs some of you may have seen, last week I posted a gorgeous Frankenstein/Dracula piece by comic art collector and illustrator extraordinaire, Lance Suárez, who had actually gifted me the artwork. I was so touched by this completely unnecessary act of kindness that I felt it was important to bring attention to situations like these. So I kept the parcel unopened and instead did a live unboxing of it early in my episode of Comic Art Show & Tell #25 - Back to the Past V - From Milgrom to Romita.As I mentioned in last week's post, and as if this completely unnecessary act of kindness wasn't already enough, Lance also threw in a "bonus" piece of art for the hell of it and THIS is that bonus piece! Thank you again once more, Lance, it really means a lot to me! Social/Sharing |

What's better than a gift out of nowhere? A BONUS gift to that gift!! It's these kinds of pieces of art that become instantly cherished. Thanks for sharing this beauty!

About why you gifted your artwork but
I think it's 'cause of me
Betty, one time I was shipping between hard board
Then in came your spouse
It's taped in comic sleeve
You heard the humor from Suarez
You can't believe a word he says
Most times, Travis line drawn for you
The best thing that he ever did
Was what he sent to you

Cool gift! Stunning sketch cover of Bettie Page by the amazing Travis Charest. I love how Travis makes a pin-up gal like Bettie Page look like a femme fatale.
