DescriptionPublished 1988Omen written by Barbara Kesel in consultation with Paul Levitz Omen first appeared in Legion of Super-Heroes 307 written by Paul Levitz and Keith Giffen and drawn by Giffen and Mahlstedt. Omen is a being of immense power who can collect, store and use radiant energy. He was attacked by the Khunds who viewed him as a threat. He retaliated devastating the Khund homeworld. The Legion stopped him by propelling him into an unknown dimension. The art is partially inked on the board and the rest on an overlay in order to create the effect on the printed page. I don't know what went
Through the lines
Ink now Sanders III
That I waited too long
To tell Kieth how much he matters
Just to be right here with you
But no Giffen thinks of any inks better
I should have told Kesel
Miki, Omen your art
Won't you give Dream a bomb Khund chance
And I'll be an observer

Let me show Who's now much despair
And I will make Who Legion fans

Not a big fan of the flowery acoutrements, but I do really like how the drawing appears WITHOUT the overlay. It makes it appear as if that's how it was intended to look. Really nice, prime era Giffen!
