Description

Hex & sidekick for this issue, Alma ride into town seeking to avenge a murdered priest & retrieve a stolen cross made of gold! I really love the panel with the tight shot of Hex’s eyes followed by the wide shot of the town…feels like a sequence right out of a spaghetti western! Throw in a gunfight in that last panel??? Yeah, really love all the western goodness this one has!

Thanks! Yeah, his pencils are amazing on this series. They actually skipped inks for these and colored the pencils for publication.

Luke Ross did some really nice work on this series. I love the horizontal, "wide angle lens" orientation of the entire page.

Handlebar moustache guys have to win shootouts against everyone except when going up against the main character. The row of hanged men still has the most impact on the page.
