Description

This Herb Trimpe page with inks by Jack Abel comes from a truly historic issue, Incredible Hulk #180, the 1974 comic book that introduced the most popular comic book character to make his debut in the past 50 years, Wolverine! This page is an inextricable part of the two-part Incredible Hulk #180 and #181 storyline that introduces Wolverine. Connected to Wolverine's intro story is the character of the Wendigo, previously introduced within Incredible Hulk #162. On this page, the Hulk encounters key characters introduced in issue #162 a year prior, that are integral to the Wendigo's inclusion in this Wolverine intro storyline. They are Marie Cartier (Wendigo's sister) donned in animal fur and horns and her companion Georges Baptiste. Georges will become the second man to become the Wendigo, at the conclusion of the storyline in #181.
